Coming Soon: Iconic New Bridge Connecting Marina Centre and Gardens by the Bay
As part of URA’s long-term vision for a more connected and accessible city, a new pedestrian and cyclist bridge will be built across Marina Bay. Construction is scheduled to begin in Q1 2026 and expected to complete by 2029.
This bridge will directly link Marina Centre (near Suntec and Millenia Walk) to Bay East Garden, where the Founders’ Memorial will eventually be located.
What’s special about it:
-
Built for pedestrians, cyclists, and those with mobility needs
-
Designed to be lightweight and elegant, complementing the Benjamin Sheares Bridge
-
Supports event crowds, buggies, and scenic public access
-
Reduces travel time from Marina Centre to Bay East Garden from over an hour to just minutes
Why it matters for real estate
As Marina Bay continues to evolve into a key live, work, and play district, this bridge improves accessibility and long-term value in the area. It enhances the appeal of nearby residences like W Residences, One Marina Gardens, Marina One, and upcoming launches in the Downtown Core.
